Day 1: transfer to Akagera National Park: Boat trip

after breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Akagera national park which is located in the north-eastern part of Rwanda covering an area of about 2500km2 of savannah plains. The park has a wide variety of wildlife including the big five mammals and it’s a home for over 500 different species of birds some of which can’t be seen elsewhere in the world. Arrive in time at the lodge check in for lunch and later you will go for After lunch, proceed for a boat trip on Lake Ihema, where you will have a closer look at marine animals like Crocodiles and Hippos, coupled with large concentration of birdlife, with over 525 species identified.
