This 3 days tour to Semulik valley national park will begin and ends in Kampala Uganda’s capital. It will take you to one of the most gifted parks with a wide verity of bird species and primate, it’s a home to over 8 species of primates, 400 species of birds and 300 butterfly species.
Mammal species include buffaloes, elephants, buffaloes, civet, bush baby and flying quarrels of which Semuliki is the only park composed of primarily of tropical lowland forest.
The forest is very dense and quite flat, crating astonishing contrast to the rocky. The Semliki River attracts many animals. The park is located in Bundibugyo District along the western border of Uganda and Democratic republic of Congo near Lake Albert.
You will pass as you enjoy the spectacular drive with views of Lake Albert and the legendary Mountain Rwenzori ranges. The park has a great location within western Albertine Rift valley region and occupies the eastern section of Ituri forest connecting Uganda with Congo River separated by river Semliki This tour will give you what exactly needed and you will have a great experience.
Day 1: depart for Semuliki national park
You will be picked from either Entebbe or hotel in Kampala by our safari guide/ driver gets you briefed about the safari and later drive you to the south western part of Uganda to Semuliki national park a home to birds and primate species.
The journey will let you pass via beautiful sceneries and rolling hills. You will have two stopovers before reaching the park one at the Equator to buy crafts and take photos and another in Mbarara for lunch. From here you will continue to the magnificent park arriving in the evening.
Check into your booked accommodation for relaxation, if you arrive in time, enjoy a night game drive and spot night games within the park, you will see the thin white tailed mongoose, very small night-jars plus several cats. Dinner and an overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Sempaya hot springs
While Semulik, you will visit the Sempaya Hot spring the major highlight to the park. These natural springs have a geyser shooting high from an 8 meter wide hole at a very high temperature. Sempaya Hot springs is the largest in the whole of Uganda and it’s a must not miss while at the park.
While on your way to the spring you may have a chance to identify a variety of bird types such as the blue breasted kingfisher plus Frasier’s ant-thrush in addition to primates such as the grey checked mangabey plus the red-tailed monkey. In the Late afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Albert, a wonderful lake. You will be fortunate to see various water animals, later head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight at;

DAY 3: DEPATURE
Have a hearty morning breakfast, and then after enjoy a morning game drive through the park and later your driver will drive you back to Kampala/ airport for your departure flight back home. You will have lunch en-route
