This breathtaking 8 days wildlife and primate tour will begin and ends in Kampala-Uganda capital and its largest city. The safari will give you an opportunity to visit the western part of the Uganda the most gifted region with over 6 national parks and reserves with beautiful sceneries.
The main places to visit on this tour are this safari are; Lake Mburo National Park Uganda’s closest park to the capital Kampala and smallest park which sits on an area of 371 sq km. The park is home to a big number of Zebras and other animals such as antelopes, warthogs, buffaloes, oribis and others seen along the lake shores like the hippos, crocodiles as well as birds, it registers over 332 bird species.
Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park is another targeted park on this tour. The park is home to mountain gorillas and over 340 individuals are registered in this park. The park also harbors around 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 346 bird species, 202 butterfly species and many more.
Queen Elizabeth national park is also another place to visit after bwindi. The park is known for its diverse wildlife species like tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, antelopes, elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, water bucks, and chimpanzees. It also inhabit over 600 bird species many of these are seen during the game drives, boat cruise and also during nature walks.
The tour will also take you to kibale forest national park a home to over 13 species of primates including the chimpanzee the man’s closest relatives. Other primate species to see in kibale include the black and white colobus, olive monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkey among many others and over 300 bird species. Day 1: Depart Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park-Wildlife viewing
On this day our driver/guide will meet you in Kampala early in the morning after breakfast and drive you to the western part of the country to Lake Mburo National Park having a stopover at the drum makers center called Mpambire and also at the Equator to take photographs. From hear you will continue to the park have lunch at the lodge and set out for a game drive through the park where you will have a glimpse on different animals that inhabit the park like the Zebras that are found almost everywhere in the park, antelopes, buffaloes just to mention but a few. Later in the evening head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
after an early breakfast begin your transfer journey to the Southwestern part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park, passing via Mbarara town which is gifted with beautiful sceneries, with a number of rolling hills with terraces, so your journey will be an interesting one. Upon reaching the park check in into you booked accommodation and just relax there the whole evening as you get ready for the next day. Dinner and overnight there.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking & Community walk- Bwindi Impenetrable
On this day after a cup of tea or coffee, the guide will take you to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas and also get allocated to the gorilla group to trek. Bwindi national park host the highest number of these gentle giants in the world almost a half of the remaining mountain gorillas live in this park. Not only gorillas but also the park is a home to other species like butterflies, plants, primates, mammals, butterflies, frogs, among others.
Gorilla trekking experience last between 1-8 hours since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from and once they are met you are strictly allowed only one hour with the gorillas. Just in case some of you are not interested in tracking gorillas, you can go for a short guided forest walk or Village walk to the Batwa community. Retire at the lodge.

Day 4: Travel to Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha sector
after heavy breakfast to Queen Elizabeth national park your driver will take you to bwindi national park passing through the famous sector of the park commonly known as the Ishasha sector which is home to the rare tree climbing lions. Your guide will help you to spot them sited in fig trees / tree branches, you will also have a chance to see a variety of other animals such as the elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and many others. When you arrive at the park in time after, have lunch at the lodge and later enjoy a late afternoon game drive where you will be able to see the above animals and many more together with birds. Have dinner and an Overnight.

Day 5: Game drive & a boat cruise- Kazinga Channel
After breakfast at the lodge go for an early morning game drive through the park for an opportunity to see the early risen species such as the hyenas, wildebeest and many other different wildlife species like waterbucks, lions, elephants, , giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, plus a variety of bird species. You will also view different crater lakes in the park. After this 3 hours game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for the afternoon 2 hour boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The kazinga channel connects two lakes George and Edward and it’s a beautiful place to see more species of wildlife along the shores, it’s a home to over 560 hippos; also birds and other animals like crocodiles, elephants, antelopes among others will be seen. Return to the lodge and have dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Early game drive, visit to the baboon cliff & Departure to Kibale
Have yummy breakfast and have a morning game drive and also visit the baboon cliffs where you will be introduced to amazing and beautiful sceneries. After lunch at the lodge embark on your transfer to Kibale forest national park home to over 13 species of primates most commonly known at the park is the Chimpanzees our closet relative. The drive from Queen to Kibale forest takes about 2 to 3 hours’ drive. Arrive in the evening check in for relaxation, dinner and spend an overnight.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland walk
Early Breakfast at the lodge, after your guide will take you to the park head offices for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with chimps and after set out for Chimpanzee tracking through the forest. During the trek, you stand a big chance to spot more species of primates that live in the forest plus various species of birds. Once the chimps are met, you are only allowed 1 hour with the chimpanzees, you may find them doing their daily activities like feeding, breast feeding, making nest for the following night, playing among etc. On seeing chimpanzees, other primates can be spotted such as the Red Tailed Monkeys, LHoest’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black & White colobus Monkeys among others and also elephants, antelopes, buffaloes can be spotted in the forest. After this breathtaking experience, you will follow the guide back to the lodge for lunch.
In the evening go for a nature walk through the Bigodi wetland where you will see different species of birds, primate species like the baboons, bush babies among other wildlife species. Go back to the lodge for dinner and an Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Return to Kampala
wake-up early for a hearty breakfast and embark on the transfer back to Kampala/ airport to meet your departure flight in time –if scheduled on this day. The drive will take you via Mubende, where you will be in line to see beautiful scenic views found in this area. Have lunch enroute Mubende and thereafter continue to Kampala.
