Getting there

This new established luxury lodge Gorilla Heights Lodge is located in Kisoro district. Reached by either air or road means. From Entebbe / Kampala the lodge  reached in just about 10 hours’ drive and reached by road or air.

It takes about 9 hours’ drive to reach there and by air from Entebbe or Kajanzi. Takes 1 and half hours to Kisoro using Aero link. It also operates daily from different areas such as Queen Elizabeth to Kisoro airstrip from Kisoro it takes about 40 minutes’ drive to the lodge. If you need a supper luxury gorilla trekking experience staying at Gorilla Heights Lodge is a perfect option, the lodge is situated at the highest point of Nkuringo hill in Nkuringo area of bwindi national park.

The lodge overlooks the entire surrounding including Bwindi impenetrable forest, the numerous rolling hills in Kisoro and the Virunga volcanoes at a distance. The lodge cooks both local and international foods. Has well stocked bar which operates 24/7, and the bar set at a higher lever for luxury. It has 15 cottages well built on the hill, amongst these 9 rooms are standard cottages, 5 rooms are deluxe and 1 is a family cottage. Each room has private facilities of bathrooms, toilets, large balconies each overlooking the lovely areas of bwindi national park. One staying here can decide to relax along the swimming pool alongside the lodge. Gorilla activities  done setting from here, batwa experience, and bird watching. Bird watching and community walk.
