Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Uganda Gorilla & Chimpanzee Tour

Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your safari begins with pickup from Entebbe or Kampala, where your guide will brief you on the trip. Travel southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through stunning landscapes and rolling hills, you will male 2 stopovers one at The Equator: Take photos and shop for local crafts second at Mbarara: Lunch break. Arrive at Bwindi in the evening and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Village Walk

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules. You will then trek to your allocated gorilla group. The trek may take 1–8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you will have one hour to observe and photograph them.

Optional: If not trekking, enjoy a guided forest or Batwa village walk. Return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, check out and travel to Kibale Forest National Park, enjoying scenic views along the way, especially in Kabale.

Upon arrival, check in to your lodge. Depending on the lodge, you may opt for an evening forest walk to spot bush babies. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be briefed on chimpanzee trekking guidelines. Follow the ranger guide deep into the forest in search of chimpanzees.Chimpanzee trekking may last 1–6 hours, and you will have one hour to observe them once found. Witness their playful behavior, feeding, and nesting habits. During the trek, you may also spot other primates such as:White and Black Colobus Monkeys, Baboons, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys

Return to the lodge for lunch, then travel back to Kampala or Entebbe, depending on your departure flight.
