    Tour Itinerary for 8 days Kibale – Queen & Bwindi 

    Day 1: Transfer to Kibale national Park

    Your guide/driver will meet and after transfer you to kibale forest national park Kibale – Queen & Bwindi located in the western part of Uganda  passing  through Mityana have lunch break in the beautiful town of Fort Portal. Marvel at the stunning palace of Toro Kingdom, the Royal tombs, the numerous shops and the mosque before driving on to Kibale, only a couple of kilometers ahead.

    From here, head to the park which is known as a primate paradise, the park is home to over 13 species of primates coupled with the chimpanzees the closest relative to human sharing almost 98% of human, other primates include. In the evening have a primate walk in the afternoon to Kanyanchu river camp; this is the most popular of all walks inside the park. It takes you through a diversity of flora zones and unveils a number of wild animals along the way living inside the forest.

    Day 2: Chimp Tracking – kibale forest National Park#8 Days Kibale – Queen & Bwindi

    Early Breakfast at the lodge, after your guide will take you to the park head offices for briefing about the dos and dont’s while with chimps and after set out for Chimpanzee tracking through the forest. During the trek, you stand a big chance to spot more species of primates that live in the forest plus various species of birds.

    Once the chimps are met, you are only allowed 1 hour with the chimpanzees, you may find them doing their daily activities like feeding, breast feeding, making nest for the following night, playing among etc. 8 Days Kibale Queen & Bwindi: On seeing chimpanzees, other primates can be spotted such as the Red Tailed Monkeys, LHoest’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black & White colobus Monkeys among others and also elephants, antelopes, buffaloes can be spotted in the forest. After this breathtaking experience, you will follow the guide back to the lodge for lunch.

    Additionally in the evening go for a nature walk through the Bigodi wetland where you will see different species of birds, primate species for instance the baboons, bush babies among other wildlife species. Go back to the lodge for dinner and an Overnight stay at the lodge.

    Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Day 4: Game drive & Boat cruise – Queen Elizabeth Park

    After breakfast at the lodge go for an early morning game drive through the park for an opportunity to see the early risen species. Such as the hyenas, wildebeest and many other  different wildlife species like waterbucks, lions, elephants, , giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, plus a variety of  bird species. You will also view different crater lakes in the park. After this 3 hours game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for the afternoon 2 hour boat cruise along the Kazinga channel.

    The kazinga channel connects two lakes George and Edward and it’s a beautiful place to see more species of wildlife along the shores, it’s a home to over 560 hippos; also birds and other animals like crocodiles, elephants, antelopes among others will be seen. Return to the lodge and have dinner and overnight.

    Day 6: Mountain Gorilla trekking safari

    On this day after a cup of tea or coffee, the guide will take you to the park headquarters for a short briefing. About the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas and also get allocated to the gorilla group to trek. Bwindi national park host the highest number of these gentle giants in the world almost a half of the remaining mountain gorillas live in this park. Not only gorillas but also the park is a home to other species like butterflies, plants, primates, mammals, butterflies, frogs, among others.

    Gorilla trekking experience last between 1-8 hours since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from and once they are met you are strictly allowed only one hour with the gorillas. Just in case some of you are not interested in tracking gorillas. You can also go for a short guided forest walk or Village walk to the Batwa community. Retire at the lodge.

    Day 7: Full day Lake Bunyonyi

    Have a hefty breakfast and then you depart from bwindi national park to Lake Bunyonyi which is another primary tourist stopover which is terrifically very stunning. Bunyonyi is a local word for “small birds” in reference to the several birds that live around here making it a favorite destination for birders. While at the park you will visit several small islands on the lake. Enjoy canoe ride and visit various small islands such as Bwama Island also a wonderful destination for birders, also the guide will take you the punishment island, on here you will be told different stories about each island. Alternatively you could take a nature walk which will help you to appreciate a great diversity of small birds here.  Later dinner  and overnight at the Bunyonyi Overland Camp or Arcadia Cottages.

    Day 8: transfer back to Kampala#8 Days Kibale – Queen & Bwindi

    Following breakfast drive back at leisure to Kampala or you will be driven directly to the airport to meet your departure flight back home. Thus the end of 8 days Kibale – Queen & Bwindi Safari
