    Detailed itinerary for 3 Day Tarangire Wildlife Safari

    Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

    After an early breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will check out and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, located approximately 2–3 hours away. Upon entering the park, you’ll immediately be welcomed by its unique landscape, characterized by ancient baobab trees, rolling savannah, and the life-giving Tarangire River.

    Covering around 2,850 square kilometers, Tarangire is renowned for its dense wildlife population, particularly during the dry season when animals gather around the river. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, gazelles, elands, hartebeests, and predators such as leopards and lions.

    After arriving, you will enjoy a relaxing lunch at your lodge or picnic site. In the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive in the park. This is a perfect opportunity to spot wildlife and capture the park’s scenic beauty.

    Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

    Day 2: Full-Day Game Viewing in Tarangire National Park

    Wake up early to the sounds of nature and enjoy a hearty breakfast at your lodge. Afterward, you will set out for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, allowing you to explore deeper into the park’s diverse habitats and remote corners.

    As you drive through the park’s open savannahs, riverine forests, and acacia woodlands, you’ll be rewarded with incredible views of wildlife and landscapes.     Upon arrival in Arusha, you will either be transferred to your hotel or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport) for your onward flight, depending on your travel plans.
