The name  Entebbe was derived from Luganda word “e ntebe”. Years back Entebbe was a cultural site for the people from Mamba Clan they used to call it Entebbe za Magula. Magula was the tittle given to the chief of a subdivision of the Mamba clan.

Entebbe is nestled in the central Uganda near the shores of Lake Victoria peninsula. Almost 36 kilometers south west of Kampala.
