Gorilla mist camp is one of the sounding midrange lodges the Ruhija sector of Bwindi national park. The lodge can be accessed by either air charter from Entebbe Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip or by road. By air it’s just about 45minutes flight from Entebbe International Airport in Entebbe or Kajjansi airstrip to Kisoro airstrip or Kihihi airstrip which is about 3 hours’ drive to the lodge, however by road it takes about 10 hours’ interesting drive. If you traveling as a family,/ group,  gorilla mist camp offers the best, it has exclusively comfortable rooms of about 8 in number.

To mention some of the gorilla families which can be trekked setting from gorilla mist camp include the Oruzogo and Bitukura.

The food which is provided at the lodge is so delicious 3 course meal is provided, at the lodge still, nature walks can be arranged while on request, however, birders are gifted with grate chances of encountering different species of birds that inhabit the park, while on the way, you will as well view beautiful scenery.

The camp’s bar is open 24/7 and it provides a good number of both hot and soft drinks, the camp is approximately7kilometers from the national park.

If needed camping own camping equipment’s, the gorilla mist camp has camping grounds, you can easily camp anywhere at the lodge.

TOURIST ACTIVITIES

• Gorilla trekking-This is the most though safari activity done at the lodge
• Bird watching activity- bwindi national park is one of the most ranked parks with many species of birds, so when expect to see a verity of birds with 23 highly localized forests Albertine Rift endemics. Ruhija being the highest peak of the forest offers the best view of rear species. Such as white starred robin, grey cuckoo shrike, strange weaver, banded Prinia, brown chested Ale the. Among many others all these and many others among the 345 species recorded in this park.
• Take a visit to the Mubwindi swamp a satisfying steep mountain as you drop from 2400m to 2050m. here also you come across many species of birds including the handsome francolin, archers robin chat, stripe breasted tit, purple breasted sunbird, etc

• Forest and Nature walk, this forest walk will expose you to many species of birds and primate such as the Chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s monkey, blue monkey baboon, the black and white Columbus monkey
• Village Walk. Options for village walk include visiting a local school, a traditional local healer, a banana brewery, Whatever tour you take will gift you with grate information on how the people in and around Ruhija live.
